Wash potatoes and place them in a large pot. Cover with cold water and bring to a boil. Reduce heat to medium high and boil for 15 - 20 minutes, or until tender. Begin to check with a fork or paring knife after 10 minutes of cooking.
Drain cooking water and pour fresh cold water over the potatoes to stop the cooking process. When cool enough to handle, peel potatoes with fork and paring knife method.
Make sure that all the potatoes are around the same size so they cook evenly.
