Ingredients
1small lemon
4cinnamon sticks
6 - 8whole cloves
1/4of a cup of sugar
1 750mlbottle of red wine
Instructions
Slice lemon into wedges.
Put everything into a medium saucepan.
Simmer on low (no boiling!) for 15 - 30 mins.
Set aside to cool for a bit.
Ladle or strain into hot wine into mugs or heatproof glasses.
Sip and feel the glow!

- More sugar can be added to individual mugs to taste. - Instead of regular sugar you can use honey. - Orange can be substituted or added to the lemon. - Experiment with adding 2 juniper berries, a few gratings of nutmeg, 3 cardamon pods or 1 star anise.
